Applications

ELECMAN® UL 1242 IMC conduit is economical to install. It's easy to cut, bend and join for smooth, continuous raceways and fast wire pulling. It is lighter weight than Rigid to save on material cost, save steel and save on freight. IMC conduit permits more cost-effecient handling and installation, and conserves electricians' energy. IMC conduit has a larger interior diameter than Rigid to make wire pulling significantly easier. IMC conduit is more "rigid" than Rigid to provide better protection for wiring in many application. IMC uses same fittings as Rigid conduit. One coupling is supplied with each 10' length.

Certifications and Compliances

ELECMAN ® UL1242 ANSI C80.6 electrical 3/4 inch IMC conduits shall be carbon steel, electrically welded, galvanized and produced to the following specifications:

• American National Standards Institute, Inc.-ANSI C80.6.
• Underwriters Laboratories Standard for Electrical Metallic Tubing.-UL1242.

Specification Data

ELECMAN ® UL1242 ANSI C80.6 electrical 3/4 inch IMC conduits are listed to UL Safety Standard 1242 and manufactured in accordance with ANSI C80.6. details shall accord with Table 1.

Raw Material

ELECMAN ® Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) is produced from Carbon structural steel (Q195).

Chemical Composition

Steel type and chemical composition (melting analysis) shall accord with Table 2.

Packing Information

IMC conduits are packed in bundles with woven bag, we also can put customers’ sticker on pipes, on woven bag, we will put a big sticker with detailed information for customers to distinguish different sizes. For regular packing information, please check the Table 2.
