Applications

ELECMAN® Medium-wall IMC conduit is more lightweight than heavy-wall RMC metal conduit, but it offers a comparable level of strength. It protects wire and cable in long runs along building walls and floors in heavy-duty applications like industrial manufacturing facilities. It can also be used outdoors and for direct-burial applications, or it can provide structural support for electrical cable, panels, and other equipment. IMC has one threaded male end and one threaded female connector. Uncoupled ends are covered by industry color-coded thread protectors, which keep them clean and sharp and aid in trade size recognition.

Certifications and Compliances

ELECMAN ® UL1242 ANSI C80.6 electrical 3/4 inch IMC conduits shall be carbon steel, electrically welded, galvanized and produced to the following specifications:

• American National Standards Institute, Inc.-ANSI C80.6.
• Underwriters Laboratories Standard for Electrical Metallic Tubing.-UL1242.

ELECMAN ® UL1242 ANSI C80.6 electrical 3/4 inch IMC conduits are listed to UL Safety Standard 1242 and manufactured in accordance with ANSI C80.6. details shall accord with Table 1.

Raw Material

ELECMAN ® Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) is produced from Carbon structural steel (Q195).

Chemical Composition

Steel type and chemical composition (melting analysis) shall accord with Table 2.

Packing Information

IMC conduits are packed in bundles with woven bag, we also can put customers’ sticker on pipes, on woven bag, we will put a big sticker with detailed information for customers to distinguish different sizes. For regular packing information, please check the Table 2.
